Croatian leader in the production of extra virgin olive oil, Orgula, has achieved significant export success by placing its products on the German market. As of this week, the renowned retail chain Globus Markthalle has included Orgula Golden Extra Virgin Olive Oil in its range, once again confirming the exceptional quality and international recognition of this Croatian brand.
“Hand-harvested, cold-pressed and processed within 24 hours of harvest – this premium olive oil of Dalmatian, or Croatian, origin has won many gold medals, including recognition at the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards 2023,” are the words used to introduce the product on the shelves by Globus Markthalle, which lists Orgula among its spring novelties.
Globus Markthalle, one of the leading German retail chains with a tradition of almost 200 years, is known for the high quality of the products it offers. In 65 hypermarkets across Germany, their offer also includes fresh products from their own bakeries, butchers and restaurants. The inclusion of Orgula olive oil in Globus’s range is a confirmation of its top quality and opens the door to further expansion into the European market.
“We are extremely pleased that Croatian olive oil is increasingly recognized among the best in the world and is becoming increasingly sought after outside the Mediterranean region. Our olive groves, enclosed by traditional dry stone walls, enable manual harvesting, which preserves the integrity of the fruit and ensures the preservation of their natural aroma and freshness. Although this method of production is demanding, it is precisely this that guarantees the top quality of the oil,” said company director Petar Zekan.
