From March 18th to 20th, Orgula Group visited one of the most important food and beverage fairs in the world, FOOD EXPO GREECE, which was held in Athens, with the aim of exchanging experience and good practices, as well as learning about new developments on the market and expanding the network of business partners and associates.
“The goal was to visit existing suppliers of olive oil and find new suppliers of olives that we plan to include in the range before the start of the season,” said Piero Zekan, director of Orgula Grupa.
FOOD EXPO is the leading food and beverage fair in Europe and one of the most important of its kind in the whole world, and this year it hosted 1,300 exhibitors. FOOD EXPO GREECE is a great opportunity for Orgula Group to establish contacts with other professionals in the food and beverage industry and to learn about the latest trends and technologies in the olive oil sector.
In addition to the exhibitors, the fair is attended by more than 40,000 professionals from the organized sales, wholesale, and catering sectors, making FOOD EXPO a central platform for the international food industry for all participants interested in Mediterranean products. The fair covers the needs of the Greek market, but at the same time fully corresponds to the export orientation of Greek manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sector.
This year FOOD EXPO GREECE also attracted a large number of key buyers from the target markets for Greek food and drinks from all over the world. Companies that produce, import and sell products in various categories exhibited at the fair, including alcoholic beverages, canned food, bakery products, dairy and cheese products, oils, fruits and vegetables, olive oils, meat, fish, as well as gluten-free and vegan products.
