Major damage at the oil mill in Marušići, but production continues without interruption

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, a large fire completely destroyed our oil mill in Marušići. The damage is significant and has caused deep shock throughout our entire team. However, we would like to emphasize that at the time of the fire there were no employees in the facility and fortunately there were no human casualties, which is a great relief for all of us. Our current focus is directed toward damage recovery.

Despite the challenging situation, the production and distribution of Orgula products continue uninterrupted from our facility in Dicmo. The bottling plant and oil warehouse, as well as all key parts of the production process, remained untouched, enabling continuity of supply and product availability on the market.

We thank the firefighters for their exceptional courage and efforts in fighting the fire, as well as all employees who, even in these difficult moments, remained composed and demonstrated unity. We also thank all partners, friends and customers for the words of support and solidarity, which mean a lot to us.

Following the accident, the burned oil mill was visited by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, David Vlajčić, who expressed his support and solidarity with our company.

“The oil mill in Marušići was not just a production facility – it was a place of processing, but also a meeting point for olive growers, customers and tourists. It operated throughout the year, and especially during the season, when tourists came daily, tasted the oil, bought it and made inquiries. It is hard to watch everything disappear into which years of effort, knowledge and life have been woven. The most important thing is that there are no human casualties. We will somehow resolve everything else. It will take time, but we will rise again. There is no surrender,” emphasized Pjero and Nataša Zekan.

Once again, thank you all for your trust and support.
